Take some time for yourself after the holidays, and cross off the “more exercise” New Year’s resolution by exploring some of the many trails that run throughout Dana Point. Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely stroll, a power walk or a more challenging hike, there’s something for everyone.
The San Juan Creek Trail runs along Doheny State Beach and curves east, with parks and exercise posts along the way. And farther north, Salt Creek Beach offers running and hiking trails, along with basketball courts, volleyball courts and more.
According to the New York Times and Mayo Clinic, just 30 minutes of movement 5 days a week is the ‘right dose’ of exercise for a longer life!
