Debra S. Corley knows a thing or two about Dana Point

July 17, 2017

Looking for a killer cup of coffee? Curious when the next Yacht Club event is happening? Need advice on the best place to find the perfect little black dress? Debra S. Corley is your woman. A longtime resident and Dana Point enthusiast, Debra lives within a few miles of the community and has become an unofficial authority on this charming coastal town by the sea.

“I love Dana Point!” says the mother of two, whose now grown children – Cassie and Connor – went to Dana Hills High School. “I used to bring them down to Dana Point Harbor when they were younger, and we’d spend time at Doheny State Beach, walk the trails. One of my favorite things about Dana Point is the city’s connection with nature, and how easy it is to experience it,” she says. Now that her children are out of the house, Debra has even more time to enjoy all that the community has to offer. Here, she provides tips for taking in the town…

Morning: Walk to PDM Bakery Café at the corner of PCH and Niguel Road by the Ritz Carlton. They have great pastries and coffee!

Afternoon: Take your boat out into the harbor with friends from the Dana Point Yacht Club (my boyfriend, John, is a member), or hop on your paddleboard for a good workout.

Evening: Enjoy a delicious meal at Craft House or Coastal Kitchen. If you’re in the mood for some music with your dinner, try Stillwater Spirit and Sounds – they have great live acts.
