South Cove Goes Green

April 19, 2017

As progress continues on South Cove – Dana Point’s premier barefoot community, which starts presales this spring – Zephyr and the project’s landscape architect, Summers Murphy & Partners, will begin implementing sustainable elements into the community and adjoining Public Park.

“We want to build responsibly and evaluate every single decision we make to ensure it fits within our parameters,” says Zephyr’s COO Chris Beucler. “South Cove homes will come equipped with the latest green technology – including prewiring for electric vehicles.”

The Public Park, which is being designed by Summers Murphy & Partners, a Dana Point-based firm that has worked on multiple local public and private projects, will border the development. It will be landscaped with drought tolerant plants native to California and feature advanced storm water management and highly efficient irrigation systems. Bike racks will be plentiful – making it easy for guests to leave their cars at home.
